Take your time and relax in the beautiful surroundings of our farm – a genuin country estate established 1867 at a place called Norrbyn in the village of By just North of the River Dalälven in Sweden. Enjoy the stillness, the starry nights, a feeling of childhood and a flowing evening sun, when you return from your daily excursion. Have then supper in the main house, under an apple tree, a grove of lilac or behind the varming glas of our green house.
The special kind of our farm is known in Sweden as “Bergsmansgård”, established with royal previliges to ensure the supply of iron for the country. A relic of that is the old wooden forge opposit to the main house.
You can walk or ride on bike to a bus stop, good fishing grounds - Top 10 Fishing - in the River Dalälven, a beach, church, an open air museum where they celbrate traditional Swedish Midsummer, a small grocery store and petrol station, and riding stables.
By car or bus you can reach a super market in the close by village Horndal.
For our guests we arrange courses; one in Photography held in Swedish or English, and another one in Geology which apart from the above is also held in German. The course in Photography is about capturing the Scandinavian light, and the course in Geology gives an introduction to how the glaciers formed our landscape during the Quaternary.

While booking - please choose between Bed & Breakfast or self catering up to 6 (8) persons. Feel free to bring your dog!
It is possible in summer - if you ask at least tree month in advance – to rent the hole farm (excluding two private rooms). Could be an ide for a reunion of relatives or at special occasions. We can, in cooperation with a catering colleague help you to arrange your dining desires for our guests.
